Photos from my second winter trip in October 2004 to the McDonald Ice Rumples, the Creeks and Windy Bay.
Craig, Rhian, Ed and me drinking Champagne at our campsite at the Rumples. Behind our sledges and pyramid tent is PR peak. Our fashionable footwear are affectionately known as 'spasbooten' and look like the sort of thing you might get given in a mental institution. In fact they are goose down filled slippers that keep your feet very toasty and are ideal for wearing in the tent and around camp.
