Photos from South Georgia and Bird Island during our journey from Halley back to the Falklands.

The new base at Bird Island, which was built last summer. The beach is reasonable clear of fur seals at the moment although there are still plenty of pups hanging around making a nuisance of themselves. The white dome behind the main building houses the satellite dish that provides internet access for the base.
