The Therons and A80
Some pictures from two of my recent summer flights - a fuel run to the Theron Mountains and the decommissioning of an Automated Geophysical Observatory at 80 degrees south.
The hut before we started to dismantle it. The pink foam in the foreground used to line the walls and provided insulation to keep the equipment warm through the winter. The black metal bars are legs which were used to jack the hut above snow level to keep it from burying.
