Some pictures from two of my recent summer flights - a fuel run to the Theron Mountains and the decommissioning of an Automated Geophysical Observatory at 80 degrees south.
A close-up of the mountains from the air as we returned to the fuel depot. The blue ice at the base of the mountains is formed when ice melts and during the summer then refreezes again. Photo by Ian.
