The Therons and A80
Some pictures from two of my recent summer flights - a fuel run to the Theron Mountains and the decommissioning of an Automated Geophysical Observatory at 80 degrees south.
The skiway at Halley as we came into land. The area on the left has been groomed with a snow grader to even out the lumps. On the right is the "airport", a couple of huts and a fuel container. On the far right is a German Dornier aircraft which has stopped here for a couple of days on their way to their base.
