A set of pictures showing some features of the Brunt Ice Shelf (where Halley is located), from the base perimeter to the Hinge Zone 40 kilometres away.
Further along the coast the shelf is unaffected by the Rumples and the ice shelf is undamaged. The vertical ice cliffs here are around 30 metres high making it impossible to offload cargo here.
