Berkner Island Flight
Photos from my co-pilot flight to the Berkner Island drilling project in January 2005.
A large square iceberg that had just broken free from the continent in Precious Bay. Heavy crevassing across the top of the berg gives some idea of the pressure on the ice. The sides are about 30 metres high, with another 120 metres hidden beneath the water level.
