Finally finished!
It's taken me four years to complete and I nearly gave up several times along the way, but today I finally submitted my PhD thesis. Although I'm pleased to be finished writing, it's not really the end quite yet - I've got my viva at the end of September, and then (assuming I pass) I'll have to complete any corrections.
Anyway, I had a night off tonight and did a bit of packing (luggage that's going by boat must be given in soon). I've also spent a bit of time working on this website. I've added a mailing list in the contact section, which provides email notification when I update the site. Please feel free to sign up, and let me know if you have any problems with it.
